Discharging at the City-Approved Receiving Station

Business Hours:

•     Mondays through Fridays between 6:30 AM and 2:30 PM and
•     Saturdays between 7:00 AM and 2:45 PM.

The facility is closed on Sundays and a number of other holidays. Any permitted hauler may make an online request (see step by step instructions) to extend the receiving station hours of operation. The request should be made at least two weeks in advance, and, if approved, payment of all applicable fees must be made before the additional hours will be scheduled (see applicable rates and fees).

The facility accepts septic tank waste, chemical toilet waste, and waste-activiated sludge from residential wastewater treatment plants (pre-approval required). NOT ACCEPTED are grease trap waste, grit/mud trap waste, or any other waste incompatible with the wastewater treatment process (including, but not limited to, petroleum products, solvents, excessive solids, etc.). This facility also accommodates the discharge of sewage from recreational vehicle (RV) sewage holding tanks.

All permitted liquid waste haulers must turn in all required paperwork after arriving at the Receiving Station. The Receiving Station operator will review manifest records, check permit status and verify the account for available disposal credits.

Discharge Instructions for Liquid Waste Haulers

• There are two parallel discharge stations; a physical connection on one of these standpipes is a requirement. When authorization to discharge is granted, the driver will pull the vehicle forward and connect to the standpipe.
• The hauler will need a hose with sufficient length and either a three, four or six inch female cam and groove coupling to connect to the standpipe.
• Truck tanks should be equipped with a three or four inch valve positioned at about mid-tank level in order to relieve some of the volume from their tanks in case the main discharge line becomes plugged.
• Samples will be collected during discharge.
