Community asked to stay indoors

Due to frigid temperatures expected this weekend and early next week, the City of Austin is opening cold weather shelters beginning Saturday evening.

City of Austin administrative offices and other municipal facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 15, in observance of MLK, Jr. Day.

Cold is heading to Austin. Get ready now.

No-cost specialized training in marketing, bookkeeping, and more

Registration for shelter will occur between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at One Texas Center (OTC), 505 Barton Springs Road.

Austin Parks and Recreation includes nearly 20,000 acres of green space, over 250 miles of trail, and more than 350 parks.
