The Austin CityWorks Academy is an inside look at Austin government – a unique opportunity for Austinites to learn about the City’s governmental processes, its procedures and the people who deliver these services through a series of 14 weekly classes.
The City of Austin Communications and Public Information Office provides a variety of internships for undergraduate and graduate students. Each semester the different divisions will post internship opportunities below. Please review each positions requirements carefully before applying.

The new Austin Mayor and City Council wants to hear from Austinites about their new proposal to change how council meetings and committees work.
Residents are invited to share feedback during a special-called City Council meeting Jan. 22. Austinites can participate in person or by phone. The City Council is scheduled to vote on this proposal at their Jan. 29 meeting. Comments will be collected through Jan. 26, 2015.
