Project Overview

The Burrell Drive Wastewater Renewal Project is part of Renewing Austin, an Austin Water project dedicated to replacing deteriorating and aged water and wastewater main lines throughout the city so that we can conserve water, improve reliability for customers, and reduce expenditures on frequently breaking lines.

Through the Burrell Drive Renewal Project we will replace approximately 2,315 linear feet of wastewater main lines and 534 linear feet of water main lines. For the construction phase of this project, Austin Water will partner with the City of Austin’s Capital Delivery Services division, and their project management staff will supervise construction.

Timeline

The project team anticipates that construction will begin summer of 2024 and take 14 months to complete.

Communications

Closer to the start of construction, we will schedule a public meeting so you can meet the project team, ask questions, and learn what to expect in terms of impact on the neighborhood.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions, and in the meantime, make sure to sign up for project notifications to stay on top of work schedule, traffic re-direction, scheduled temporary water outages, and more.
