Valves and Hydrants Services Division

​​​​​​Austin Water crews maintain infrastructure through a variety of activities such as exercising valves, pressure and flow testing, and leak detection, among other preventative maintenance services. Additionally, in a rapidly growing city, development requires new infrastructure inspections and tie-ins to existing infrastructure to establish new connections.

To have water turned off for major projects, walk-through inspections, and/or pressure testing for residential or commercial customers, read the scheduling guidelines and contact the Valves and Hydrants Services Division using the following forms:
