Getting to the AARC
By car from US 183 N, exit Cameron Road. Turn right onto Cameron, go past Rutherford Lane, and the AARC will be on your right. From US 183 S, turn left on Cameron Road. Go past Rutherford Lane, and the AARC will be on your right.
By bus, there are nearby stops for bus lines 10 and 325. If you need to cross Cameron Road, please note that the nearest crosswalks are at the light at Cross Park Drive and at Rutherford Lane.
Parking is available onsite during regular hours. If the AARC lot is full, overflow parking is also available at the Austin Police Department Recruiting building that is next to the center and a short walk away. You can turn into the lot on Cameron Road.
Programs and Events
The AARC hosts a variety of cultural arts, health and heritage programs and events throughout the year. From our annual CelebrASIA festival in May to the Hyphenated Book Club series, Tones Fest music series, creative arts workshops, and more, there’s always something happening at the AARC!

Senior Program
AARC Senior Program is designed to address the intergenerational wellness and education needs of Austin residents, age 50 and up, with a focus on Asian American culture and community. AARC Senior Program is part of Austin Parks & Recreation Department Varsity Generation and Congregate Meal Program.

Youth and Teen Programs
Through fun and interactive activities using Asian American literature, visual and performance arts, and multimedia, kids and teens have the unique opportunity to participate in an array of cultural workshops, gain leadership skills, and connect with others in the community.

Exhibits
The AARC’s Community Art Exhibit Program displays artworks year-round that celebrate the diverse and dynamic cultural heritage, lived experience, creativity and identity-making by Asian American Pacific Islanders artists.

Rentals
The AARC provides a variety of indoor and outdoor rentals spaces for community events, non-profit events, business events, meetings, lectures, classes, banquets, and more.

Facility Updates
The City of Austin Parks and Recreation Department and Capital Delivery Services are continuing work on the AARC with three projects: the addition of movable wall partitions to the ballroom, a new pavilion, and elements of the Watershed Protection Department’s AARC/Rutherford Stormwater Improvements affecting Little Walnut Creek.
