The Asian American Resource Center, in collaboration with the Austin Korean Adoptee Network, will host comedian Ed Pokropski on February 8, 2025 from 6-9pm.  Catch his show, Case 84: Adopted in the U.S.A., a show for anyone who has struggled with identity or just feels like people misunderstand where they come from. It is an immersive journey through Edward's experience growing up in Philadelphia as a transracial adoptee and touches on the influence of American media on identity, complex family dynamics, and ultimately what it means to be an American.

About Ed Pokropski: New York City based storyteller, comedian, and AAPI activist Edward Yoo Pokropski has been touring “Case 84: Adopted in the U.S.A.” around the country for the past two years. A comedy show meets a TED Talk, Case 84 sheds light on the underrepresented experience of adoptees. Edward is a two-time Emmy nominated Senior Writer/Producer at NBCUniversal. He is also a Co-Founder of The Asian Comedy Fest. 

About Austin Korean Adoptee Network: AKAN - Austin Korean Adoptee Network is a Facebook group for Korean adoptees in the Austin and surrounding areas. We share information regarding adoptees, culture, birth family searches, and other topics for Korean Adoptees. Only adoptees are allowed in the group. We have sporadic meet ups to discuss KAD topics.
