Wear your fanciest hat and join Mamie Raynaud in celebration of her newest exhibit “Chinatown in Three Acts,” currently on-view at the Asian American Resource Center. Enjoy light refreshments during the mixer, and then join Mamie for an artist talk and guided tour of her exhibit. You will be able to learn in an intimate setting about the intricate and fascinating details of millinery (hat-making) as an art form, and hear more about Mamie’s journey of navigating identity, self-discovery, culture, and creativity as a first-generation Chinese American growing up in 1970s LA Chinatown.
