Item 1 - September 1, 2011
Conduct a public hearing to receive public comment on the City of Austin Fiscal Year 2011-2012 Proposed Budget.
The public hearing was conducted and the motion to close the public hearing was approved on Council Member Morrison's motion, Mayor Pro Tem Cole's second on a 7-0 vote. The Mayor announced that the action to adopt the Fiscal Year 2011-2012 is scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on September 12, 2011. If the Council does not adopt the budget at that time, the action may be continued to September 13th or 14th.

Item 2 - September 1, 2011
Conduct a public hearing on the proposed property (ad valorem) tax rate for Fiscal Year 2011-2012.
The public hearing was conducted and the motion to close the public hearing was approved on Mayor Pro Tem Cole's motion, Council Member Riley's second on a 7-0 vote. The Mayor announced that Council will vote to adopt the actual property tax rate for Fiscal Year 2011-2012 on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. after Council adopts the budget.
