Aids/services to people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, such as:

  • Qualified sign language interpreters
  • Written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, other formats)

Language services to people whose primary language is not English, such as:

  • Qualified interpreters
  • Information written in other languages (translation)

If you need these services, email community@austintexas.gov or iSpeakAustin@austintexas.gov or contact the appropriate city department directly.

If you believe the City of Austin or any of its departments has failed to provide these services or discriminated in another way on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability or sex, you may file a grievance.

You may file a grievance in person, by mail, phone, or email. If you need help filing a grievance, the City of Austin Office of Civil Rights is available to help you.

If you believe that the City of Austin has failed to provide language access services, you can file a grievance through the Comments & Complaints link in the menu on the left-hand side of this page.
