City of Austin government offices will be closed on Monday, November 11, 2024 in observance of Veterans Day. Business hours will resume Tuesday, November 12. Closures include City Council offices, all recreation and senior centers, cultural centers, museums and libraries.

Utility Customer Service Centers
Utility Customer Service Centers will be closed on Monday, November 11. Customers can make payments at COAUtilities.com or pay in a variety of other ways: coautilities.com/go/paymentlocations.

Parks and Recreation Facilities Schedules 
City of Austin parks, playgrounds, year-round pools, tennis centers, and golf courses will be open for their regularly scheduled hours on Monday, November 11. Parks and Recreation Department offices, recreation centers, senior centers, museums, and cultural centers will be closed on Veterans Day. Austin Resource Recovery
Trash, Recycling, Composting and Facility Schedules  

Curbside collections will follow regular schedules and will not be affected by the holiday. Customers can check their collection schedule any time in the Austin Recycles app or at austintexas.gov/myschedule. The Recycle and Reuse Drop-off Center and administrative offices will be closed on Monday, November 11 but Austin Water’s Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant will be open regular hours (8 a.m. - 3 p.m.) for yard trimmings and large brush drop off.

The Austin Animal Center 
The Austin Animal Center will be closed on Monday, November 11, resuming regular hours on Tuesday, November 12.

Austin Public Library branches
All Austin Public Library locations will be closed Sunday, November 10 and Monday, November 11, resuming normal operations on Tuesday, November 12.

Austin Public Health 
Environmental Health Services at the Rutherford Lane Campus, Office of Vital Records, all WIC and Shots for Tots clinics, and Neighbor Centers will be closed on Monday, November 11.

Austin Municipal Court 
All Austin Municipal Court locations will be closed on Veterans Day Monday, November 11. 

Austin Water
Austin Water's administration offices will be closed; for Water and Wastewater emergencies, please call our 24-Hour Customer Service Contact Center (512-972-1000).
