Welfare check kindness

Please acknowledge Sgt Mewis, badge #7220. I asked an officer to check by my elderly sister's residence in North Austin for a welfare check. I live about three hours away. Sgt. Mewis did so and spent about two hours with her. He helped me to make certain decisions with regard to her welfare. I thank him for his kindness and concern.
