March All-Teams Meeting on Civic Participation

In March, we finalized initial teams for all of our commitments, allowing us to have our first all-teams OGP meeting. We chose to focus on the OGP principle Civic Participation.

The meeting’s opening exercise let us hear how each team is promoting the OGP theme of civic participation on many levels (see photo below). In reviewing the results, we observed and learned that:

  • many post-it notes of all colors are in the upper left section, which tells us that deepening relationships now is important to all teams
  • many post-it notes of all colors mention city staff, city executives, and the media in all sections, which suggests we can help all our groups by connecting with these three stakeholder groups – such as by posting information to Bloomfire and sharing those posts, or inviting key stakeholders to future events
  • ·\not every team had a post-it note in all three rows (deepen, transactions, and publish) and all three columns (now, mid-year, end-of-year), which suggests there is value to you in us offering a variety of tools for you to choose from all year long. As a result, we will continue to introduce new tools at our monthly all-teams meetings.

At our next meeting we will show how to close the feedback loop with the Net Promoter Score Tool as a way to advance accountability -- April's OGP theme.
