Site Plan Review Requirements - Address Management Services
Completeness Check
The following is a list of requirements to assist in preparing a Site Plan for Completeness Check submittal for Address Management Services.
Select a Temporary Address
-
Determine a temporary address using the Property Profile to look up the site location and select an existing address based on project access or start of infrastructure project (roadway projects, w/wastewater, etc.…)
-
If no address exists, use the address closest to the site location.
*Temporary address may change due to Completeness Check Review.
Requirements for all projects
-
If using an address for the Site Plan- Project Name omit the address number. For example, use ‘Main St Commons’ instead of ‘1515 Main Street Common’s. When using a street name with access off two or more streets use the street name where the properties main access.
-
Ensure the following features are clearly identified on the overall Site Plan sheet: main front entrance, building doors, entries, access points, driveway access points, handicap parking, garages, sidewalk access. If the project will include more than one driveway, the primary driveway should be highlighted.
-
Streets or alleys abutting the property with the street name(s) identified.
-
If a demolition plan is not submitted, clearly label any existing structures to be removed.
-
If the property contains multiple parcels, please clearly label each with the assessor's parcel number.

Service addresses are assigned by the local addressing authority. Travis County entered into an inter-local agreement to have City of Austin Address Management Services to assign service addresses for the city proper, unincorporated Travis County, and a number of other municipalities within the county.
When new subdivisions are recorded, and after the plats have been delivered to Address Management Services, addresses are assigned to each lot. Un-subdivided parcels are assigned addresses on a case-by-case basis.
