Are there recommendations for posting my address?

Yes. Please clearly post addresses so they are visible from the street. Consider that emergency responders may be searching for an address at night, or in smoke, fog or heavy rain. Darkness and bad weather greatly reduce the visibility of addresses. Any addressing conflicts that may be obvious in daylight can be confusing in the dark or in bad weather. Your address is assigned to make it possible for the emergency service providers to locate your address as quickly as possible.  You can help them by posting your assigned address using reflective numbers.
