Through the preservation and exhibition of African American material culture, history, and aesthetic expression, the Carver Museum works to create a space where the global contributions of all Black people are celebrated. We accomplish this by telling stories about our local community and connecting those histories to larger narratives about Blackness. The Carver Museum is free and open to the public. Masks are encouraged inside the museum.

LIKELY BY PAIJE FULLER: OPENING THIS SATURDAY AT GOOD DAD STUDIOS

In this solo exhibition for Austin Studio Tour, Paije Fuller invites us to wander through her airbrushed dreamscapes where nostalgia and imagination harmonize. Drawing on cultural rhythms and personal introspection, Fuller’s works reimagine the moods of the 1980s, immersing viewers in surreal scenes woven with bold colors and abstract subjects that echo an unforgettable era. Each piece is a visual riff, layering collective memory to capture the essence of the decade. Through her vision, Fuller honors our shared experiences while opening a space for enjoyment and cultural connection. Fuller feels both intimate and expansive, encouraging us to engage with the present and the remembered.

Join us for an opening reception (with Kenyan samosas!) this Saturday from 3-6pm at Good Dad Studios, 2801 S, I-35, Austin, TX 78741.
