OGP Spotlights Austin's Contracting & Homelessness Commitment

OGP traveled to Austin to interview the residents central to the city's homelessness commitment

OGP videographers traveled to Austin to interview Steve Potter, a member of the Austin Homeless Advisory Council (AHAC).

AHAC is a committee of people experiencing homelessness created as part of Austin's Action Plan 1 and now integral to the city's open contracting commitment in Action Plan 2.

This commitment is lead by Downtown Austin Community Court's (DACC) Robert Kingham.  Under the city's Action Plan 2, AHAC hears homelessness community engagement proposals from City of Austin staff, provides feedback on how plans can be improved, and participates in DACC's contracting proposal assessment process.
