Effective Sept. 5, 2017, the Austin Transportation Department is implementing changes to One Texas Center (OTC) parking procedures to improve parking availability for City of Austin employees and visitors doing business with the City.

Visitors Conducting Business

Members of the public conducting business at OTC will be provided with limited free parking in the surface lot or parking garage:

  • Without validation – Up to 45 minutes
  • With validation (take ticket to OTC staff to request validation) – Up to two hours

Note: Parking in the garage is not permitted in spaces marked “Reserved."

Entering and Exiting

Visitors are required to enter and exit the garage by way of the north side (Haywood Ave. side) only.

Visitors who park beyond the free time limits will be subject to the rates below.

OTC Garage Public Parking Rates

The One Texas Center garage parking rates will be the same as those charged at City Hall. They are as follows:

  • Daily Rates: Monday – Sunday, 5 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • First 45 Min. = Free
    • 46 Min. to 1 Hour = $5.00
    • Each Additional 30 Min. = $2.50
    • Over 3 Hours = $18.00
    • Over 8 Hours (Daily Max) = $21.00
  • Evening Rates: Monday – Sunday 5 p.m. – 5 a.m.
    • In after 5 p.m., out by 5 a.m. = $10.00
  • Monthly Parking Rate:
    • Standard Monthly Rate = $185.00

All rates include sales tax. Special event parking rates may supersede normal rates. Monthly Parking is limited and is based on a first-come, first-served basis.

OTC Surface Lot Public Parking Rates

The One Texas Center surface lot parking rates are as follows:

  • Daily Rates: Monday – Sunday, 5 a.m. – 5 p.m.
    • First 45 Min. = Free
    • 46 Min. to 1 Hour = $5.00
    • Each Additional 30 Min. = $2.50
    • Over 3 Hours = $18.00
    • Over 8 Hours (Daily Max) = $21.00

Non-OTC City of Austin Employees

City of Austin employees who are not housed in OTC but are conducting business there will not be charged to park in the OTC garage, provided they obtain validation. They are also required to enter and exit the garage by way of the north side (Haywood Ave. side), as illustrated above.

City of Austin employees (OTC and non-OTC) who park in the surface lot are not eligible for validation and are responsible for the cost of parking.
