APD Arrests Suspect in Robbery Series
UPDATE: Members of the Austin Police Department (APD) Violent Crimes Task Force identified, located and arrested the suspect responsible for a series of robberies. Evan Miller is currently being held at Travis County Sheriff’s Office Jail for an unrelated felony warrant from DeWitt County, Texas. Miller is charged with committing four robberies in Austin within the past two weeks:

11/27/21 - Case #213311055 - 7020 Grand Canyon Drive (Canyon Trails Apartments)
12/01/21 - Case #213351055 - 1201 Broadmoor Drive (Heritage at Hillcrest Apartments)

Location: 4311 Springdale Road (Mobil gas station)
The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting the community’s assistance with identifying the suspect involved in a robbery of the Mobil gas station located at 4311 Springdale Road. On November 24, 2021, the suspect entered the gas station armed with a black and silver semi-automatic style handgun. Inside the store, he displayed the handgun to the employee and demanded money.
Suspect:
- Black male
- 18-30 years of age
- Approximately 5’10”
- Very heavy build, approximately 350lbs.
- Last seen wearing:
- Adidas red and white hooded sweatshirt with white stripes down the sleeves. Extra-large “Adidas” logo on the front of sweater.
- Black pants
- Black and white shoes
- Gloves
- White “Jason” Halloween-style mask
