The Austin Police Department needs the public's help finding the person responsible for hitting a man with a vehicle. This incident happened on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at approximately 12:24 a.m. The man was walking his two dogs westbound in the 3400 block of Paisano Trail when a vehicle driver hit him. The driver did not stop to render aid and left the area. The man suffered from a severe, life-threatening injury. He was taken to a local hospital and remains in critical condition.
Investigators gathered video of a vehicle that drove by the area around the time of the incident. *The video is difficult to make out*. However, the driver may be a person of interest who may have information regarding the crash.
The person of interest was driving a vehicle described as a:
- Sedan
- Four-door
- Possibly gold or beige
