Austin's 13th Annual Flood Safety Poster Contest begins soon. Illustrate the theme, “Save Yourself! Turn Around – Don’t Drown." Almost 1,000 Central Texas school children created posters in 2017. We look forward to seeing your 2018 entries!
This contest educates children about the risk of flooding in Central Texas. Flooding is Austin’s top, weather-related emergency and the number-one cause of weather-related fatalities. Your students' posters build awareness and help people make safer decisions in flooding conditions.
8 ½ by 11 paper, brightly colored, in landscape orientation.
Encourages people to turn around and not drive through flooded roads.
Either “Save Yourself! Turn Around – Don’t Drown” or “¡Sálvate! Es mejor regresarse - que ahogarse” should be the headline.
