All bans have been lifted except for the area of Tom Miller Dam to the southern tip of Red Bud Isle due to ongoing floodgate operations. That ban remains in place until further notice.

AFD Celebrates 100 Years of Service

100 years ago, 27 firefighters became the first members of a fully paid fire department in the city of Austin, Texas.

Our videographer, Chris Wilkinson, put together this amazing retrospective. Thanks to him, as well as Lieutenants Jerry Cohen and Lyzz Donelson, for their participation in, and support of, this project.
