Caminos is an immersive paid fellowship empowering Austin-area Teens to carve their own path in the creative arts. For a period of 12 months, students will be actively engaged in the various elements of our program: working with ESB-MACC professionals on-site, 1-on-1 artist mentorships, assignments with community organizations, participation in relevant workshops, and cultural events. This process concludes with the execution of student-led collaborative projects under the guidance of accomplished creative professionals.
Keeping that in mind, it is important for the ideal candidate to be passionate and curious about pursuing a career in the creative fields (Fine Arts, Audiovisual Arts, Media, Technology, etc.). It is also important that the student demonstrates an interest in Latinx social/cultural issues, is trustworthy, and motivated to explore their potential growth as a vibrant member of our community. By the time students graduate from our program, they will have accumulated valuable working experience at our state-of-the-art facility while developing authentic relationships with a roster of outstanding creative professionals.
Applicants should be high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in the creative industries while exploring Latinx cultural issues. Applications for the 2019 Caminos class will be open starting on September 15th. Click here for eligibility requirements and download an application today!
