It remains the responsibility of the property to ensure that their system(s) are in compliance with the adopted fire code
Temporary Change of Use - required for structures or portions of structures used as public assemblies not currently having a “Certificate of Occupancy." Fire code definition for “public assembly” consists of 50 or more people. (Examples: use of vacant building, warehouse or a high-rise office/garage as a public assembly.) The permit requires onsite fire watch due to conditions of the current fire code, size, complexity and/or unique safety issues regarding the activities associated with proposed event or structure.
Exhibit and Trade Show - required for facilities hosting events with temporary vendor display or booths within assembly area of the facility. Floor plan review/inspection are part of the fee. Event centers, conventions centers, arenas, and hotels with ballroom/meeting room require permits when hosting these events or when deviating from standard ballroom configuration.
