The 2018 Women's Hall of Fame induction ceremony was held on Friday, March 9th at Austin City Hall.

The 2018 inductees are Gigi Edwards Bryant, Jeanne Goka, Celia Israel, and Sarah Weddington.

All honorees in the Austin Women’s Hall of Fame have made significant contributions for women in the Austin area and beyond by breaking through barriers for women, working to better the lives of women and girls, and providing outstanding public or community service.

“The City of Austin’s Hall of Fame for Women represents an important honor for those women who have pioneered progress for other women,” says Julia Cuba-Lewis, Mayor Adler’s appointee to the Commission. “We are working to better represent those significant achievements by women for women and to inspire a generation of women who will continue to blaze new trails for women in economic and education equality.”

The Women’s Hall of Fame inaugural year was 2011.

Since 2011, the City of Austin’s Commission for Women has hosted an annual induction process for the Women’s Hall of Fame.

Nominations are now closed for the 2018 Women's Hall of Fame induction. Nominations for 2019 inductees will open in the fall.
