Spring Festival Fun: Experience the Austin Vibes at AUS!
What's cooler than saying you attended a music festival in Austin? How about saying you experienced the vibrant energy of the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS)? Alright, maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration, but there’s no denying the cool factor of everything happening in our terminal. If you're ready to rock out and fly out with a souvenir to remember, AUS has you covered.
The Groove Never Stops in Austin
First off, you came to Austin with the intention of enjoying live music, and live music you shall receive, from the beginning of your travel journey to the end. From March 10th to March 17th, immerse yourself in the sounds of talented Austin-based musicians at the Saxon Pub/Asleep at the Wheel Stage, from 3 PM to 5 PM. Catch the smoky soul grooves of Suzanna Choffel, the melodic R&B vibes of Daniel Fears, or the genre-defying, globally inspired music of The Tiarras. And that’s just a few—there’s a whole lineup of talented artists to explore! Head to the AUS Live Music Performances page to align your visit and dive into the heart and soul of Austin’s music scene.
Souvenirs Galore at Every Glance
Secondly, you can’t visit The Live Music Capitol of the World without having something to show from it. What’s the word? A Souvenir? Oh yeah, we have those and tons of them too. Starting March 7th, “SXSW” pop-up retail shops will be posted outside of Austin Chronicle and Austin Mercantile locations. However, if you happen to yonder into Book People, Austin Vibes, and/or Jet Set, you’ll find a stock of Spring Festival merch to add to your collection as well.
Develop Your Collection with Ease at AUS
Need help finding the spots mentioned above? AUS has you covered on the navigation front, too, with our digital wayfinding map at airportmaps.flyaustin.com. Or, if you’re confidently old school, just ask one of Guest Services employees for help—they’ll point you in the right direction.
And once you've fully embraced the airport experience, don’t forget to tag us on social media! We’d love to see your dance moves to the live music or your strut with the trendy merch you snagged on the way home. Until then, remember we recommend arriving at the airport at least 2.5 hours early and not falling for silly social media trends. Happy travels, y’all!
