Intern Programs
The AUS paid internship programs (high school, college, post-graduate, and veteran) are temporarily suspended.
High School Internship Program: High school students gain comprehensive exposure to airport management and the aviation industry. Designed for individuals who are currently enrolled earning their high school degree.
College Internship Program: College students gain comprehensive exposure to airport management and the aviation industry. Designed for individuals who are currently enrolled earning their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
Post-Graduate Internship Program: Emerging professionals gain comprehensive exposure to airport management and the aviation industry. Designed for individuals who have received their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree within 3 years of applying. Programs are either six or twelve-month, depending on availability.
Veteran Internship Program: The Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) Veteran's Program assists veterans in transition from active duty to the civilian work environment. This program supports you through exposure and experience to the civilian workplace while refining skills and abilities necessary for successful integration into civilian organizations.
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport's programs provide qualified candidates an opportunity to gain relevant experience in their field of study. In return, AUS gains a fresh perspective from the next generation of leaders. AUS offers internships for veterans, graduate, undergraduate and high school students in a variety of fields including but not limited to: Accounting, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Environmental, Customer Service, Safety, Security, Airport Operations, Human Resources, Public Information, Property Management, Music, Graphic Design, Maintenance and Airport Planning.
Various interactive and social activities will be available during the intern season to promote learning and increase exposure to various aspects of the airport. Other events include social gatherings to give interns a chance to meet and network. Austin-Bergstrom strives to provide an all-encompassing experience, instilling a life-long positive memory of serving the public and the airport.
