The Austin Police Department (APD) Criminal Investigations Division is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying a male, whose photos are included above, that assaulted an elderly female.

On Sunday, February 9, 2025, at approximately 9:23 a.m., one male and one elderly female were involved in a verbal disturbance on a bus in the 7700 block of Burnet Road. The male then assaulted the elderly female. A bystander was able to intervene and physically restrain him before he also assaulted her as well.

      The suspect is described as:
•    Black male
•    Early 30s
•    Thin
•    Short, black hair
•    Patchy beard
