On Sunday, January 26, 2025, at approximately 9:43 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 10000  block of North Lamar Boulevard SB. The vehicle left the scene after hitting the pedestrian. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene. The identities of the decedent, suspect vehicle and driver are unknown at this time.
 
This incident is being investigated as Austin’s 2nd fatal crash of 2025, resulting in 2 fatalities. On the date of this crash in 2024, 2 fatal crash resulted in 2 death.
