The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit is requesting public assistance with identifying a suspect involved in an Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon that occurred at the Tornado Bus Company located at 711 East Ben White Boulevard on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at approximately 3:25 p.m.

As detectives investigated, they learned a female employee was robbed at gunpoint inside the Tornado Bus Company. The employee was working in her office when the suspect entered, brandished a firearm, and demanded money. He physically attacked the victim by pistol-whipping and punching her, and then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash eastbound toward IH-35. The suspect’s description and photos are included below.

The suspect is described as:

• Hispanic male
• Approximately 50-60 years of age

The suspect was last seen wearing:

• Plain black hooded jacket
• Baseball hat
• Black medical face mask
• Black gloves
• Dark-colored jeans
• Black dress shoes
• Armed with a handgun
