The Austin Police Department Highway Enforcement Investigations unit is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying the driver of a suspect vehicle involved in a Failure to Stop and Render Aid crash that happened on Monday, October 14, 2024, at approximately 5:33 a.m. The crash occurred near the intersection of Springdale Road and US 290 SVRD EB.
An unknown pickup truck was traveling eastbound on US 290-SVRD and collided with a motorcycle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. At this time, the victim is stable and has been released from the hospital. The suspect vehicle did not stop to render aid or call 9-1-1 and left the scene immediately after the crash.
The suspect vehicle is described as:
- Pickup truck
- Damage near left rear passenger side/truck bed area
- Damage may have red or maroon paint transfer from motorcycle
