The Austin Police Department (APD) Robbery Unit requests the public's help in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery in the 2600 block of North Lamar Boulevard in West Campus. This incident occurred on Monday, May 20, 2024 at approximately 4:55 a.m.
The suspect, whose photo and description is included below, noticed the victim while driving and pulled to the curb a short distance away. The suspect then exited his vehicle, approached the victim on foot, and pointed a handgun at the victim. The suspect demanded the victim turn over their cash, and then intentionally groped them before fleeing in a black Nissan pickup truck.
The suspect is described as:
• White or Hispanic male
• 18-25 years of age
• Thin build
• Approximately 6’ tall
The suspect was last seen wearing:
• Red hat
• Dark-colored shorts
• White shirt
• Armed with a black semi-automatic handgun
The suspect’s vehicle is described as:
• Black Nissan Frontier pickup truck
• Traffic cone standing up in the bed
