AUSTIN, TEXAS – Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) passenger traffic growth for March 2024 was down 1.29% compared to March 2023 with 1,915,987 passengers flying during the month.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for March 2024 was 1,915,987, down 1.29% compared to March 2023. March 2024 enplanements totaled 948,445, down 1.33%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 822,863, up 9.2%; American Airlines passengers totaled 382,798, down 19.4%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 251,160, up 14.3%; United Airlines passengers totaled 237,392, up 8.4%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 67,854, down 7.3%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 34,636, down 56.4%; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 29,216, down 23.9%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 23,741, up 4.6%; British Airways passengers totaled 17,807, up 3.4%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 11,089, up 34.4%; Air Canada passengers totaled 6,831, up 59.5%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 6,084, down 2%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 5,671, down 4.8%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 5,414, down 26.6%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 5,411, up 7.7%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 4,793; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 2,178, up 672.3%; Viva Aerobus passengers totaled 1,008; and Flightworx Aviation passengers totaled 41.
March 2024 air cargo totaled 25,086,856 lbs., down 3.07% compared to March 2023. International air cargo totaled 2,316,274 lbs., up 16.4%. Air Transport International carried 8,203,844 lbs., down 8.1%; Federal Express carried 6,901,160 lbs., down 7.6%; United Parcel Services carried 2,336,145 lbs., down 23.4%; and Atlas Air carried 1,707,949 lbs., up 21.4%.
Air Services transferred 47,260 lbs. of mail, down 84.59%; and 3,491,799 lbs. of belly freight, up 1.24%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 3,992, down 12.86%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 22,712, down 5.84%.

Passenger Activity: Total passenger traffic for January – March 2024 was 4,864,338, down 0.96%, compared to January – March 2023. January – March 2024 enplanements totaled 2,404,211, down 1.05%. Southwest Airlines passengers totaled 2,038,440, up 7.5%; American Airlines passengers totaled 1,072,122, down 13.2%; Delta Air Lines passengers totaled 625,284, up 15.2%; United Airlines passengers totaled 600,266, up 7.8%; Alaska Airlines passengers totaled 173,156, down 10.3%; Spirit Airlines passengers totaled 81,717, down 61.2 %; Allegiant Air passengers totaled 59,984, down 20%; JetBlue Airways passengers totaled 58,843, up 5.4%; British Airways passengers totaled 41,977, up 7.5%; Frontier Airlines passengers totaled 18,964, down 26.5%; Air Canada passengers totaled 16,335, up 45.6%; Aeromexico passengers totaled 15,003, up 10%; KLM Royal Dutch Airlines passengers totaled 14,648, up 2.2%; Lufthansa passengers totaled 14,538, up 8.2%; Hawaiian Airlines passengers totaled 13,754, down 22.4%; Copa Airlines passengers totaled 13,130; Sun Country Airlines passengers totaled 3,948, up 250%; Virgin Atlantic passengers totaled 1,136, down 88.6%; Viva Aerobus passengers totaled 1,008; Titan Airways passengers totaled 44; and Flightworx Aviation passengers totaled 41.
January – March 2024 air cargo totaled 72,441,351 lbs., down 3.77% compared to January – March 2023. International air cargo totaled 5,996,940 lbs., up 7.56%. Air Transport International carried 24,907,524 lbs., down 11.9%; Federal Express carried 18,774,962 lbs., down 8.5%; United Parcel Services carried 7,020,996 lbs., down 17.4%; Atlas Air carried 5,315,223 lbs., up 18.3%; and Sun Country Airlines carried 4,120,291 lbs., up 5.7%.
Air Services transferred 373,500 lbs. of mail, down 66.45%; and 9,403,662 lbs. of belly freight, down 0.77%.
Aircraft Operations: General Aviation operations totaled 10,525 for January – March 2024, down 13.71%. Combined operations (including commercial and military) totaled 61,528, down 6.1%.
