Deceased: Lowen Alberto Ordonez Lobo, Hispanic male, 02/15/85

 

On Sunday, April 28, 2024, at approximately 8:37 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to a shots fired call at The Villas Del Sol apartments located in the 1700 block of Rutland Drive.

 

APD officers and Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (A/TCEMS) arrived on scene and located a male subject, later identified as Lowen Alberto Ordonez Lobo, with apparent gunshot wounds. Life-saving measures were attempted but were unsuccessful and Lobo was pronounced deceased at approximately 8:49 p.m.

Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene and interview witnesses. Detectives are still actively working the scene and are asking for anyone with any information to come forward.

A reward up to $1,000 may be available for any information that leads to an arrest.

This case is being investigated as Austin's 18th homicide of 2024.
