On Sunday, March 10, 2024, at approximately 11:14 p.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers, the Austin Fire Department (AFD) and Austin/Travis County Emergency Services (A/TCEMS) responded to a report of a three-month-old infant who was not breathing at The Revl Apartments, located at 5629 North Lamar Boulevard. When emergency services arrived at the scene, life-saving aid was provided and the infant was transported to an area hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Unfortunately, the infant was pronounced deceased on March 15.
 
During the initial investigation, detectives uncovered evidence concerning the decedent’s twin sister having non-accidental injuries. Child Abuse Detectives have arrested and charged Brittney Alisha Bailey, for Injury to a Child, a first-degree felony, for the injuries sustained by the decedent’s twin sister.
