The Austin Police Department (APD) Aggravated Assault Unit is requesting the public's assistance with any information in connection to an Aggravated Assault on an APD Officer in the 6400 block of Chimney Creek Circle.
On Saturday, October 14, 2023, at approximately 4:37 a.m., two suspects in a sedan, whose photos and description are included in this release, failed to stop and yield to APD Officers during a traffic stop. They turned into the 6400 block of Chimney Creek Circle, a cul-de-sac before conducting a U-turn and accelerating towards the Officers and the marked patrol car. The driver of the car hit one of the Officers as he left the area.
Suspect #1 (Driver) is described as:
- Hispanic male
- Approximately 18 to 25 years of age
- Black hair in a bowl cut style
- No facial hair
- Tan complexion
Suspect #2 (Passenger) is described as:
- Hispanic male
- Approximately 18 to 25 years of age
- Black hair with a dyed blonde middle parting
- Light complexion
- Heavy set
The suspect vehicle described as:
- Possibly silver or grey in color
- Possibly a Lexus sedan
- Newer model
Anyone with any information about this incident such as vehicle information or the identity of the two suspects inside the vehicle should call the APD Aggravated Assault Unit at 512-974-5177.
