The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit is requesting the public’s assistance with identifying two suspects involved in a Robbery by Assault that occurred at the 7-Eleven located at 6306 Menchaca Road. The incident happened on November 19, at approximately 5:33 p.m.
Detectives believe the two suspects, whose descriptions and photos are included below, were involved in the Robbery by Assault. Preliminary investigation revealed that suspect #1 entered the store and began stealing merchandize from the 7-Eleven, while the second suspect remained outside. The female clerk confronted suspect #1 as he attempted to leave with the stolen property. The suspect then attacked the woman before leaving the scene on foot with the second suspect.
Suspect #1 described as:
- Black male
- Early 20s years of age
- Between 5’ 4” and 5’5” tall
- Medium build
- Long and curly hair
- He was last seen wearing a green jacket and a light-colored undershirt
Suspect #2 described as:
- Black male
- Approximately 20 to 30 years of age
- Between 5’ 8” to 6’0” tall
- Thin build
- He was last seen wearing a black shirt over a red long sleeve shirt, and a bright colored hoodie under the black shirt
