On Saturday, October 14, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) Officers responded to a shooting in the 1700 block of Burton Drive. Officers at the scene located a man, Feliciano Alvarado-Lajuj, with gunshot wounds. Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) arrived on the scene and took Alvarado-Lajuj to a local hospital, where he died.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Specialists responded to process the scene. Detectives believe that Alvarado-Lajuj was shot in the parking lot by a suspect who left the area.
