On February 3, 2023, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: He wanted to show his protest middle finger because he has not

proceeded to catch up to the
complainant. The APD car came up door to door with the complainant's car, almost side-
swiping his Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck, and almost knocked his side mirror off. The
complainant had to throw on his brakes real quick SO the officer wouldn't slam into the
complainant. This frightened the hell out of him. The officer rolled down his window but
didn't yell at him. The complainant followed the officer to

then turned right because that's where the complainant was headed anyhow. That's when
the complainant took video of the back of the car. The officer was a Hispanic male. The
officer was probably trying to videotape the complainant; he saw him touching a piece of
technological equipment. The officer probably thought the complainant was trying to get
vigilante justice after what he had done but the complainant was trying to get the car and
license plate information. LP
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
