NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
February 3, 2023
ICMS # #: 2023-0092
On February 3, 2023, the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: I was rear ended by a drunk driver while stopped at a red light.
police was at the scene taking our accident report but the officer failed to get the driver's
license of the person that was at fault. Knowing she was drunk he did not ask her to turn
off her engine or get out of her vehicle. She was able to evade police and leave the scene
while he was doing the report. It's negligent on the officers part for letting a drunk driver
get away and put others in harm while 2 officers are present to prevent this from happening.
They did not get her name. That is supposed to be the first thing they document. Parking
lot of
is where we pulled in SO he can take report. Intersection
where the accident occurred.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
