NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
January 27, 2023
ICMS #: 2023-0076
On January 26, 2023, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: She has been dealing with APD multiple times about one
incident and she has four different case numbers. APD helped her change the locks to the
unit. APD picked up serval ounces of methamphetamine from the unit as well as marijuana
drug paraphernalia from the unit. The complainant called
to make a complaint
about the individuals in the unit and APD told her it was a civil matter. The complainant
has court documents, as well as body cam footage, showing that the individuals know they
are not supposed to be in the unit and APD has failed to do anything. She called
because the glass window was broken in the unit. She has body cam footage stating the
individuals are not supposed to be in the unit and the individuals even told the officers they
know that they are not supposed to be in the unit. The APD officers still did not do
anything. APD is still telling her it is a civil matter. If someone breaks into a unit that she
has possession of, it is called burglary. She has more than enough evidence to prove the
unit belongs to her. APD does not want to do their job and they never want to do their job
when they are called SO they call it a civil matter. When the complainant was asked
why
things were still in the unit, she explained they have to have a biohazard team come
out
because of all the drugs found in the unit and APD has done nothing about that. Also,
the
individuals have already tried to set the unit on fire and APD has done nothing about that,
and she has not heard from the arsenic investigation unit. It is becoming ridiculous. She
has been waiting since
for an APD superior to contact her on-site.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
