NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
January 13, 2023
ICMS #: 2023-0023
On January 10, 2023, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: She was assaulted by an
employee. The
employee responsible for the assault was fired. She was attacked by someone and APD
refused to come out. The complainant was referred to 311 by 911 to file a report and
requested a follow-up from APD. She was told an officer would contact her in 24 hours
and it has been
and still no contact from APD. She went to a precinct
only to
hear they are backed up and it could be 2 to 3 weeks before someone contacts her. She
does not want to file a police complaint, but she is fed up. While she is waiting for an
officer to call her back, she could be killed. She just wants to file her police report.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
