The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit request the community’s help with identifying two men suspected of an aggravated robbery. The crime happened on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at around 5:45 a.m. The suspects, whose photos and descriptions are included in this press release, approached a man who was waiting for his co-worker in a parking lot located in the 1700 block of Rutland Drive. The suspects were armed with a handgun and demanded the victim’s wallet. They brutally attacked the victim by hitting him in the head before taking his belongings.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1:
- Black Male
- Approximately 5’6”- 5’10” Tall
- Thin Build
- Approximate age: Mid 20’s to early 30’s
- Short dreadlocks
- He was last seen wearing a light colored hoodie, red undershirt, black shorts, white socks, and red shoes.
Suspect #2
- Black Male
- Approximately 5’6”-5’10”
- Thin Build
- Approximate age, Mid 20’s to early 30’s
- He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, black socks, and black sandals.
Suspect vehicle:
- Honda Civic
- 4-door
- 2016-2021
- Sedan Model
