The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit is requesting the community's help identifying a man involved in an armed robbery at the Murphy gas station located at 710 E Ben White Boulevard on Sunday, December 11, 2022.
The suspect, whose description and photo are included below, walked into the gas station, threatened the employees with a handgun, and stole money from the store.
The suspect is described as:
- White or Hispanic male
- 40 to 50 years old
- 5’ 7” tall, Heavy set
- Light-colored skin
- Short black hair
Suspect was last seen wearing:
- Dark black hooded sweatshirt with a red stripe on the sleeves
- Black sunglasses
- Blue mask
- Gray shirt
- Black shorts
- White and black shoes
Suspect vehicle:
Silver Volkswagen Jetta with dark tinted windows
