NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
January 21, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0047
On January 20, 2022 the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The complainant was getting into his car and started to warm it up when
an officer pulled up behind him. He is not sure if it was APD but the vehicle was pitch black with
license plate #
The officer came to his car and asked him if he knew anything about a
911 call. She said that's why she was in the area. Then she started asking him if he had weapons
in the car. The complainant does not feel like that was right and he felt like he was being harassed.
He asked if he could call his roommate out because he felt weird about the situation. When he said
that she said, "Have a good day," jumped in her vehicle, and took off. He has a video of the
incident and when she realized he was videotaping, that's when she took off.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
