On January 27, 2022 the OPO received an online complaint.
The complainant alleges: I was located at
and
at the
the store person called the cops on me for having a knife there where 2 cops that pulled up I was
having a manic episode when the 2 cops pulled up they got out the car and asked if I had a knife
on me they said no and just took my word while witnessing my manic episode I've had this
experience before and I kno normal protocol is when u get a call about a weapon involved u don't
take the person word u search and that they did not do I kept saying I need help I wanna go to
they kept saying well ems can take you I said no I want to voluntarily go I kno if I'm
voluntarily wanting to go that y'all should be able to take me they where like we'll then we would
have to make calls and see what we can happen I said ok what's wrong with that they made it seem
like it was just to much work SO when I realized that I asked if they could call their sergeant he
made it seem like he was doing it i then asked for them to write their badge number down they
was basically being a smart ass he started saying it I said no write it down he refused then they
walked away laughing at me and when they got in they're car they basically turned my situation
into a show and they turned their sirens on and lights and drove past me laughing
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
