The complainant alleges: An officer stared at her as she walked into the

As she was walking out of the store, several officers approached her car with guns drawn while
her friend and children were in the car. The officers detained her, searched her vehicle, and told
her she was in a stolen car. She told the officers to re-run the license plate and when they did the
report came back that there were no warrants, and her vehicle was not reported stolen. They
searched her car without a warrant and also threw her friend to the ground. After she left and went
to work, she found out they found the car they were looking for and it was an SUV, and she was
driving a Chevy Impala.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
