NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
April 8, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0251
On April 6, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: She called APD regarding an incident with her child and her younger
brother. She was showing the officers the video she had but they were more concerned about a
previous warrant for her arrest. She ended up going to the hospital because Officer
and
another officer came into her home and slammed her to the floor, breaking the tv in her bedroom.
She was taken to jail for 5 -6 months for the violation of her parole on the previous warrant. When
she asked officers for a copy of the police report she was given a blank police report. The way the
officers treated her was wrong and resulted in her baby being born a week early and the child still
has ongoing medical issues.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
