NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
April 22, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0312
On April 22, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: The complainant alleges: Over the past
years the complainant has
been having issues with the Austin Police Department, including police brutality. In
and
of
the complainant tried to report her identity being stolen to APD, but APD did
nothing, declared the complainant incompetent, and sent her to a place with a history of
mistreatment of patients. APD harassed the complainant and used excessive force that caused the
complainant to lose a pregnancy and have her skull pushed in to the point that it was inverted. At
the time the complainant was referred to as incompetent and had excessive force acted upon by
multiple APD officers despite her small size and only being one person. The complainant says that
she is upset that no one has been appointed to her case and allowed it to be handled in a timely
manner.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to determine
if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service Rules, and Municipal
Civil Service Rules.
