NOTICE OF COMPLAINT
May 13, 2022
ICMS #: 2022-0373
On May 11, 2022, the OPO received a phone complaint.
The complainant alleges: Her wallet was stolen while she was a guest at an
,
but she could not file a claim with her insurance without a police report. She made a police
report the same day and was told that someone would notify her between 24-48 hours. On
,
someone reached out to her. By that time, she had found out it was an employee
at the hotel, and she shared that information with APD. She did not hear anything else until
when someone called from the APD fraud department and told her APD was
short-staffed, and they had been defunded because of the protest. She has called APD
several times since that last call and to date, she still has not heard anything from APD.
This notice of complaint is a request for Internal Affairs to initiate an investigation to
determine if the employee conduct is within compliance of APD policy, Civil Service
Rules, and Municipal Civil Service Rules.
